Welcome to our blog. We’re glad you’re here. Let’s get Social.
Virtually every university (or brand for that matter) uses some form of social media as part of its communications toolkit. And that’s no different here at Colorado State University. Social media is in many ways the lynchpin in how we communicate as an institution. We’ve learned a lot over the course of several years and will use this blog to chronicle our experiences. We’ll share our epic successes. And our epic fails (we’ve had a few). We also want to hear from you. Social media is all about community. We firmly believe that we are better when we learn from one another.
Who are we?
Good question. Kimberly Stern here and I have the distinct pleasure of heading up social and digital media at Colorado State. My team includes rockstars Chase Baker, Ashley Manweiler, and Jen Smith. Here’s the cool thing, the team doesn’t end with the five of us. Social media administrators from divisions and colleges across campus assemble as the CSU Social Media Committee.
You’ll hear from committee members in this blog and more regularly from a core group of social media peeps including Tim Brogdon from CSU Athletics, Evan Moore from the Office of Admissions, Lindsay Connors from Creative Services and Christian Herrmann from Housing and Dining Services. We’re excited to share what has worked well for us on social media, what has been a total bust, and highlight sweet stuff we see in social.
