Great news: we’ve welcomed three incredible new student co-creators to the CSU Social team this year, and we’re so excited for you to meet them! Each brings their own spark, perspective and creativity to our digital spaces, helping us tell the stories of CSU from a student’s point of view. Get to know Karma, Emma and Kennedy: three Rams who are already bringing the energy ⚡️
Karma Robins

Karma is a junior studying journalism and technical communication, with minors in ethnic studies and sports management. She’s also a CSU cheerleader and works with CTV Channel 11. So yes, she’s busy. But she’s CRUSHING IT.
Karma likes to think about building community through content. Whether she’s snapping photos, filming videos or writing in her journal, she loves using creative outlets to express herself and connect with others. She’s passionate about showing off all the ways students can get involved at CSU: clubs, events, resources… You name it.
And fun fact? She’s obsessed with squirrels.
Emma Winters

Emma is a second-year journalism and media communication major with a business minor. She’s originally from Southern California but spent a lot of time in Colorado growing up, so coming to CSU just made sense. What sealed the deal? The strong sense of community and the beauty of campus #Relatable
Emma brings a thoughtful, visual style to the team. She loves creating social media campaigns and short-form videos that are fun, informative and visually striking. She’s also super into film photography (she shoots with a Canon AE-1 and a Rolleicord, no big deal) and loves sharing creative content that makes people feel something. She’s also got a brain full of strategic ideas to back up her creativity.
Her dream project? Something featuring CAM the Ram, obviously.
Kennedy Layfield

Kennedy is a sophomore studying business marketing with a minor in hospitality and event management. She’s all about crafting stories that are authentic, meaningful, and joyful. And, she’s super excited to build on her writing and video skills this year with CSU Social.
Kennedy loves dogs (like, really loves them) and volunteers at shelters whenever she can. She’s also big into dancing, hiking, yoga and crafting. She’s drawn to marketing because it blends creativity with strategy—and her dream is to work in international event marketing so she can combine her love of travel, people and planning.
She lights up talking about CSU traditions, fall on the Oval, and yes, CAM the Ram, too.
We’re so lucky to have Karma, Emma and Kennedy on the team this year. They’ve already brought fresh ideas, great energy and a ton of talent to the work we’re doing…and we’re just getting started. Keep an eye out for their content on Instagram, TikTok and beyond.
